ayukwęnǫdih
('they have found their voice', In Wyandot)
By Jah Qube (Javid Jah & Alex Akbari) in collaboration with Catherine Tammaro
ayu-kwęn-ǫdih honours the Indigenous trail that is now Kingston Road. The copper spiral symbolizes the energetic pathway, blending Indigenous and immigrant voices. Weaving tradition and today’s world, the spiral and cube form a healing grid, representing cultural intersections and reminding us to hear the original Peoples’ voices and our own.
